TIMMAH! is right, I would definately set up a woodworking shop to build one of these!
Such a long box isn't actually required though, a friend of mine built a similar DIY projector and his enclosure was about the size of an end table. That would work much more easily in your living room than this 'coffin', if it seems too big. Make the top a bit wider so it actually looks like a table and paint it to match your couch.. et voila!
