Sony should just charge $1500+ for the initial batch consoles. This would net them a small profit and discourage greedy ebaying because the profit margin would be smaller.
...and give them huge image problems as an overpriced console to the rest of the population.That said, I don't think any third party can get into the financial aspects of any deals Sony have with suppliers. It's all speculation.
