other civilian patrol-bots, and fortunately for thieves and other shady folk, the robot doesn't appear to carry any form of lethal ordinance -- although that's probably to the benefit of casual, innocent

What benifit can this offer over a human? Atleast for the near future jobs such as what this is designed for seem better suited for a human than a machine.
