Cingular announces Blackberry Pearl, kind of
It's still no official announcement, but our Cingular customers in the house waiting patiently to get your hands on a Blackberry Pearl apparently will get theirs "soon." No price, no release date, just the Pearl all up in lights with an email form to send you out a mailer when your phone becomes available.

I was in the Cingular store Tuesday night(NYC), they said this was scheduled to arrive tomorrow along with a restock of the Blackjack.

The pearl sucks anyway. The buttons feel like dogshit and provide zero feedback.

David, i would never say that buttons feel like "dogshit" as you say. Im not absolutely sure why you would describe it like this, but its a pretty big seller so far with Cingular so you might want to re-think the way you state comments

I really cant reccomend this device except to a user who wants a very light and compact smartphone. The learning curve with the suretype (especially during the installation) is nothing short of maddening. I spent an entire day trying to set it up, then took it back in desperation to the phone store, where they couldnt fix it at all. It turned out later than the Blackberry server was having problems communicating with outlook. (there appears to be some kind of relay race going on with more than one outlook server involved....but I dont really understand these things). Had to return it....I honestly believe its not ready for prime time for the serious business user. I must marvel at the number of positive reviews out there though, thats why I tried it out in the first place.
