What, exactly, would a Motorola Q look like
all dressed up in Sprint livery? If you guessed "like any other Q but with Sprint logos strategically placed about its exterior," you'd only be partially correct. From these press shots, it looks like Sprint will be launching out of the gate with the new (arguably hotter-looking) black variant, a color that we've already heard CDMA rival
Verizon would be picking up itself in the near future. Otherwise, we get a revised Sprint-specific theme slapped onto the handset's Windows Mobile UI, the aforementioned Sprint logos front and rear, and that's about it. We still don't have an exact drop date, but current rumors have customers being able to get their QWERTY on some time between mid-December and early January. Click on for more eye candy!
I have this new for sale with 1gb mem. card -ajadedream@yahoo.com
It looks alright... I'm looking forward to the Zune-Phone or iPhone.
dont forget the creative zen phone. lol
Sure it's pretty, but no touch screen/ no sale. I'll stick with my Treo 700WX for now. Give a Treo Wifi and it will own the world.
sweet! I was actually going to upgrade my Sprint phone this week and get a Treo 700wx, but I think I'll wait for this one now.
Thanks Engadget!
Sweet.
What's with Sprint phones and getting all the ugliest color combinations imaginable? They're about as pretty as their customer service.
Fishes,
narco.
Haha, it's ugly!
I think it looks great, this will be my next phone.
Is it just me, or isn't that black? It looks more like dark grey.
Sorry, *that isn't black*
No point getting a Black Jack with Cingular's sorry 3G coverage. At least with Sprint most of the country is on EVDO.
Still waiting on the PPC 6800...
The blackjack is a nice phone. One of the guys at work already has one. The buttons on the keyboard really suck though. They're too narrow. I like the Q's angled buttons better but the BJ is a much better phone over all.
I would like to say to sprint to make a PDA phone capable to do all the services that you have people for music, movies, mews, modems etc. some PDA phones are not capable to do a lot of this services so please enginerize a PDA phone that meets all this caracteristics
Bell Mobility in Canada is already carrying the black Q: http://www.bell.ca/shopping/en_CA_ON/65287.details?tab=SPECS
The Moto Q is out dated. I wish Sprint/Nextel would tap into the huge selection of i-mate Windows Mobile Phones!
Wow... I just bought myself a 6700 and they finally come out with the Motorola Q for Sprint. I'm impressed with the look of the phone and since I don't use any of the on board applications like: Word, Powerpoint, or Excel. I'm interested in this phone and I might actually get one and give my brother my 6700. If you guys have any tips on my decision ahead then just let me know...
The Q is a beautiful design, but I'm worried that it's a little too much "form over function". I hope they have worked out all of the bugs like they did with the 700w(x) before launching it. If so, me likey!
Looks alot like the rumored "Amp'd" Q:

as anti-moto as i've been in the past 2 years, i can't disagree with the Q looking hot in black.
WHY???? it's lacking some of the key functionality of the first US windows 5.0 phone the PPC-6700. I still have my phone and if anything I would wait for the 6800 or go with the Samsung i830 that has optional GSM service when out of the country.
Brandon, I know it doesn't but as far as the sheer form factor of it and call quality its a winner. If your a 6700 owner/user then you should know that the call quality SUCKS on the 6700. I will probably wait until the 6800 comes out first before I jump the gun and get the Q. The 6700 is getting outdated tho so thats the reason why I think I should just upgrade and get another phone. I like the smart phones a lot because they are simple and the screen resolution is VGA and beautiful! I'm not really a fan of the touchscreen so I think it would benefit me to get the Q or even maybe the 5800 if it does come out for Sprint.
Love the Q. Was actually considering breaking my Sprint contract to get one...but Verizon's steel curtain approach on their cell phones was a deterrent. Now I can upgrade to the Q and get the freedom to use it however I want. I'm currently using Nextel's I930 windows mobile unit, so I am looking forward to the sexier design. Just hope it's not as slow as the I930.
I'M SO GLADE SPRINT DECIDED TO GET THE MOTO Q. I CAN'T WAIT TO GET MY CURRENT PHONE UPGRADED.
Just heard from Sprint business customer service that the Q will be available on 12/03, but you know how that goes....
So is there any chance that Sprint will carry the Blackjack??
Hey whats the battery life like
