The slots in the back *were* for a clip to snap the Wiimote into but, for the time being, that idea has been scrapped (was supposed to be packed with the classic controller, originally.)
The Gamecube controlls are the worst controllers ever designed that's why they aren't useing the same design. Does this controller have any sort of movement sensors? It'd be cool if I could use this instead of the remote for some driving games maybe. oh yeah, and here's a hell yeah to the old school people out there... SNES? hell I even rock the NES!
BTW anyone see potential for a Zapper 2.0 for the Wii? that'd be awesome!
i mean come on that snes controller is the mold for all controllers today. Thats a classic one of my favorites although i did have playstation as number 1 , until the 360 very sexy and the anologe location on the left as opposed to the center just feels right lol.
does the Classic Controller have rumble or no?
I think that they should release versions of all of the classic controllers form all of the original systems in the original stylings. I would buy one for NES, SNES, N64, and probably Genesis too, just to have the original experience. I don't care if they're true wireless, plug into the Wiimote, or plug directly into the console.

You realize that you just made a RIDICULOUS amount of sense?
My gut says you just nailed a "big january announcement". You say you heard this somewhere.. Got a link?
I LOVE WII.
Would anyone else like to see a Wii-centric update to the NES Max controller? I dug the 360 degree action on its D-pad.
What about an updated Wiivantage stick? But one whose buttons don't get stuck (like with the old Advantage) during serious button-mashing sessions.
I like the wire coming out of the bottom anyway. The one coming out the top of my ps2 controller always rubs against the triggers. If it came from the bottom that wouldn't even be possible.
didn't PSP have translucent buttons a little before 360?
Ugh! no! don't keep the gamecube controller. It's too small! i have no problem with the shape (amost the same as a ps2 controller) but the long "booms" on the end of the controller and how narrow the space is between them tends to squash my rather large, beefy fingers. The Classic controller and the wiimote are huge breakthroughs for nintendo. they're small, but they're FLAT and they're easy to figure out.
Went to the mall yesterday and had the same problem with lack of wiimotes. Try Sears. Believe it or not, hidden in their 3000 big screen TVs, there is still a video game aisle (In most, results may vary.) It doesnt have that good ol' Nintendo Authorized Repair Center charm, but it does the trick. BTW, if you don't see any 'motes, don't panic. I had to ask for them to bring em out, mainly because they are too lazy to stock their shelves (I used to work at Sears, trust me)
