Really? Wow, because it`s the total and complete opposite of that everywhere I`ve seen. The Wii isn`t even released here in Japan yet, and all the PS3 fans seem to be spending 99% of their time online bashing it. Most of the Nintendo fans I have seen generally keep to themselves. There are no vocal 360 fans in Japan, so I have no frame of reference for them. Me, I will most likely end up buying all three in the end.
The biggest mystery to me is why people cannot simply accept that other people have DIFFERENT TASTES. Some people are going to like a different console than you do. Why on earth is there a "battle" here? Just buy the one you want and enjoy it. I don`t care what pathetic justification you come up with, there is no need to insult people who don`t share your tastes. That goes for all sides of this thing. I could really care less which console someone else buys and enjoys. I wouldn`t start insulting people over their favorite food, clothing style, or other personal preferences - why should it be any different with a gaming console?
Seriously people, you just end up sounding like a little kid when you start insulting people for their tastes. I thought people grew out of that stage... Guess not.

Do you really think that? Where are the black helicopters?
One major mistake on Sony's part.
NO RUMBLE
LOL
I can safely say I have logged 40+ hours on my PS3 thus far. Maybe more. NOT ONCE have I had a problem with *either* of my SixAxis controller's freaking out.
Rather than a hardware defect (although that may still be the issue in these small number of cases) this could be more related to interference.
Bluetooth can suffer from various forms of interference and, if you are too far from the PS3, it can loose the signal. Is the PS3 sitting on a glass surface? Does the BT signal have to go through it? How far away from the unit are you sitting? Are your battery levels very low?
Reconfiguring your gaming space could solve the problem.
I've never had this problem yet playing a lot of THP8
Unfortunately i play Resistance a good amount and this is continuos and annoying problem :(...the PS3 was really looking great...but once every i dunno 30 minutes i lose control for 3 seconds and if i dont resync it with the cord it happens at quickened intervals...very very annoying...i just play online with the cord plugged in now :/ im holding out that sony will fix this soon or...well im not sure :P
I had the same problem with sixaxis controller "synching up" via bluetooth. I talked to Sony tech support and he basically told me that the only way to have the controllers to sync up is to attached the usb cable and then press the PS button. To me, it was just a hog wash answer. I believe that he didn't know what to tell me for a solution. I told him that my ps3 wasn't operating like that when I first bought it. But to no avail, he gave me the same answer no matter what. So, having some knowledge about pc restoration, it lights a bulb in my head. So I asked him if I restore my ps3 to it's original factory setting will the games that I purchased will not be re-downloaded, and he told me I can re-download it five times. So, I decided to restore my ps3 to it's factory settings which means that I have to reformat the hard drive in my ps3. To my amazement, it worked!!! Everyting is synching up like it supposed to. So I am sharing this with you guys out there that this is the solution for your sixaxis nightmarea :-) Don't worry you can still re-download the games you purchased previously. Just go to and sign in to your PSN and go to "download list" on the right top portion of the screen once in PSN. You'll see all of your download histories in there. I hope this helps. Enjoy! :-)
Also I already own 2 DS3 controllers..awesome! Couldn't wait so I have to import it. Highly recommended :-)
