Up until recent years (and yes, I'll be the first to admit mostly insensitively) the U.S. has been fairly conscientious of not "pissing people off". We haven't been the best at public affairs. I would like a link to the most recent (or in the past 10 years) U.S use of another countries traumatic event for prolific gain.
Overall, we're fairly conscientious, but more over, we dont take another countries loss as gain. We have shown ourselves through 3 world wars (yes I said 3) that we can be the "better man" in many things. In that, we don't (on a public scale) use a disaster as marketing material, and unless you can show me a link to direct proof, I will continue to defend what this country has stood for. You all argue good (If not great points), but it stands that this add has used imagery from a tragedy directly. I sand that BenQ has produced some amazing innovations, and I own a few in my own home, but I would definitely think twice about purchasing from a company that uses the imagery of such destruction to further its financial gain.
BenQ has made good decisions in the past, and I am certain that they will, in this case, retract soon enough, this bad one. They are a very bright company and I have a considerable amount of hope for them in this situation.
