How old is that add, anyway. I never saw it in my paper. But if it was a recent or upcoming add it would say out now not out November 17. Although the Irony is quite funny.
We all know they mean "rumble" in the sense that they could have used with any other product. They could have said that about a TV or speaker system. "Rumble" is simply a term used to stir excitement.
The irony is there though and it is kind of funny that they would use that word :)
I don't think they have to do much to sell a PS3, they could have just ran an ad that had a picture of the PS3 with the words "we have them" under it and they would be sold out in ten minutes.
Yesssssss! that's hilarious. And they ahve a reference to the "dali clocks" ad and the "george foreman grill" thing. The guy who made this is or a genius or a lucky idiot.
Look how many places linked to this Circuit City ad and how much attention an otherwise forgotten ad would have gotten if it wasn't for that one line, and it does it all at the expense of Sony not themselves.
So great job Circuit City advertising department. . .
I am having trouble viewing what I assume is an image above the text. You have a lot of firefox users, many of which use adblock, and "ps3-advert" might not have been a great choice for a name.
Its No Fake. I just got this in the mail. It wasn't in the newspaper, it came today in a little mini circuit city catalog. Right about in the middle. Rumble.. funny funny har har

Pirateinmymind,
It's in Circuit City's Holdiday Guide. It was in the newspaper a few weeks ago, I think.

Yeah, ummm....I would say the ad is fake. I never saw that ad, and I get the newspaper and look for the Best Buy and Circuit City ads. Whatever.
spil @ Dec 2nd 2006 4:08PM
How ironic, the very system that doesn't have rumble in its controllers is said to have that [italics] very [/italics] feature in this ad.

Might be considered good advertising,

Why would a company waste money on advertising a product like the PS3? Are they afraid that theyll be overstocked?
Josh @ Dec 2nd 2006 6:48PM
They could post a picture of a PS3 with the title "Eat shit and die!" and it would still sell out in 10 mins...
cjrenaud @ Dec 2nd 2006 7:59PM

Dude, I would totally line up overnight to get one of the first PlayStation ESADs when they're released.
Mrfreezie @ Dec 2nd 2006 7:30PM
Lol, that's like saying "you will actually enjoy this"....
Carlos @ Dec 2nd 2006 9:08PM
Yeah... that's rich... I guess... but... I don't get it. What's the joke? I don't know anything about the PS3. Why is Ready To Rumble so ironic?
lettcco @ Dec 2nd 2006 9:47PM
because PS3 at first was suppose to have vibration controller but got sue and lost.
spil @ Dec 2nd 2006 10:11PM
Does the "d" key on your keyboard not work?

oes the " " key on your keyboar not work?

I think in a sense there's some truth to it, although it's apply to people who tried to get one.
pixelbender @ Dec 2nd 2006 9:56PM
What truly makes me sick is the $100 Monster "for PS3" HDMI cable. All parties involved should thoroughly rot...
