IncipioBud lets you jack into your 2G iPod shuffle
While we've seen a previous gadget that brings back that long-sought-after USB functionality to your second generation iPod shuffle, this one does it for about a quarter of the cost. The IncipioBud is a tiny device plugs right into your shuffle, and weighs less in grams (5.6, or 0.19 ounces) than it costs you in single-digit dollars ($6). Now which jacket did we leave our shuffle clipped to, again?

Next gen shuffle will probably be the same size as that.
BradStar @ Dec 6th 2006 5:05AM
What are you talking about? The next shuffle iteration will be built right into the headphones! Then you can just tilt your head when you want to change songs...
mbm4cash @ Dec 6th 2006 9:16AM
"Tilt your head to change songs"...that'll be crappy for all those "head-boppers" out there (including myself). I'd never be able to listen to another song ever again....

No way people, think future, think size. Next gen shuffle will be a chip you embed in your skull which just sends musical echos through to your ears to play music. You won't even need power - it's body power, and you upload via bluetooth. what more do you need?

that has almost nothing to do with the post/comments. At least it's an mp3.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with this article. Hmmm, let's see...the point of the 2G shuffle is it's miniscule size...the one you're linking to is fine and dandy, but it's bigger and much more expensive.

Seems awesome until you notice that shipping is a ridiculous five bucks.

2GB? I thought the shuffle was only 1GB
from apple.com
"The worlds smallest digital music player and just $79, the 1GB iPod shuffle lets you wear up to 240 songs(1) on your sleeve. Or your lapel. Or your belt. Clip on iPod shuffle and wear it as a badge of musical devotion."
Rob @ Dec 6th 2006 8:49AM
haha, nevermind. I saw 2G and thought 2GB and not 2nd gen--doh!
Kevin @ Dec 6th 2006 9:23AM
My 2G shuffle arrived yesterday! I love it!
gabe @ Dec 6th 2006 10:11AM
Anyone think that this should come in the box with the shuffle? I'd pay Apple an extra few dollars for the added value...

i've been using my ipod shuffle, the sequel, for about a week and all i can think is....how long is the spring in the clip going to last?
Mike Talmadge @ Dec 6th 2006 12:27PM
Interesting! Yesterday it was called ShuffleBud today it is call incipioBud......?
I got a hunch this is some "low cost" garbage too. read more: http://thoughtout.biz/podcast/2006/12/05/key-development-plans-for-ipod-shuffle-2nd-generation/

Interesting, I would love to use this with my shuffle so I went out to buy one. There site isn't set up properly so you can't complete an order. All the free publicity and no gain what so ever.
