Now that
Dell's riding high on the Blu-ray bandwagon, what more could you ask for when picking up that
now-BD-equipped M1710? How about a free flick from
Mark Cuban? While we can hear the groaning in the back, ole Mark has decided to plug his very own HDNet by partnering with Dell and tossing in a free Blu-ray title -- "HDNet World Report Special:
Shuttle Discovery's Historic Mission" -- with each XPS M1710 notebook. Although further details on the deal weren't readily available, it was implied that future Blu-ray equipped machines would also grace buyers with free BD titles of Cuban's choosing, and while you might not agree with Mark's
antics, you can't really complain with free.
Ok... let the post stating that people hate SONY and Cuban because they use BD start pouring in.
OK ill do it ... Sony Sucks !!
If the "HDnet" logo is that prominently displayed on the [Blu-Ray] box, I can see Joe Consumer making the mistake of buying the disc for their HD DVD.
Okay, Joe Consumer meaning someone's grandmother trying to buy little Jimmy some HD formatted movies for his Xbox360's add-on drive, since almost no Joe Consumers actually have an HD DVD stand-alone deck.
The HDDVD add-on only sold 42,000 units. That's pretty bad considering 360 sales this year. I doubt anyone's gonna be looking for HDDVD's for their grandkids in any case, seeing as Disney is Bluray.
Blu-ray is dead.
Uh, not exactly, the war started long ago.
And Blu-ray is dead. The writing is on the wall, anyway.
