It seems this one's been floating around south of the border for a couple months now, but it just came to attention via our counterparts over at Engadget Spanish. The MPTREZ (a play on "MP3," we suspect) from Mexico's ZONDA Telecom is about as smart a dumbphone as you're going to find, thanks to a 220 x 176 touch screen that dominates the majority of the handset's front. Don't be fooled, though; despite the Pocket PC-like appearance, the beauty is only skin-deep. Other specs include a ho-hum 1.3 megapixel cam, microSD expansion, tri-band GSM radio (with both 850 and 1900MHz bands on board), and 32MB of memory. It probably doesn't hold a candle to whatever guts lie inside that gorgeous KE850 we saw not long ago, but the MPTREZ holds one critical advantage: it's available now.
