Con & Con's E-Base gadget charging station
Italian design firm Con & Con looks to be trying to do its part to reduce cable clutter and keep the mod hope alive at the same time, catering to the retro set with its E-Base charging/organizing station. The E-Base itself doesn't actually do any of the charging, however, instead simply providing a not-so-discreet hiding place for your power bar and as many gadget-related cables you can stuff inside its brightly-colored shell. Although if the day-glo orange look isn't your thing, you can also get the E-Base in a more subdued black/gray combo, each standing 23-inches high and setting you back $180. Wait... so I would be paying close to 200 bucks after tax for what?
A hideous looking mailbox to put powerbricks in.

I think I understand why they're called Con & Con.

Ha! Three outlets! Who are the designing this for? An OCD, fashionably conscious, semi-tech-savvy geek with a lowly three devices that crave some of that good ol' AC. This seems like a pretty niche market to me.

If ever one is sold it will signal the end of modern society.
They should have charged $1,000 for it. It's so frigging useless the only hope would be to make it ultra exclusive and so that a mentally ill / well-to-do person might buy it during a binge shopping episode. (high price = good, can't think. must buy. husband is cheating on me, etc.)

Darn. I thought it was an Li-ion fueled BBQ grill.

It looks like a mod something from the 60's. I found a charging station online that I love. Look at www.cpdocks.com. It's simple, it doesn't take up my counter space, and I even have a place to keep my car keys.
