Griffin intros Amplifi and Journi speaker docks
Griffin just announced a couple of new iPod speaker systems ahead of next week's Macworld. The Amplifi (pictured above) is a 2.1 channel speaker dock with an "all wood, acoustically tuned enclosure", the other is the Journi (pictured below), a portable speaker system with up to ten hours of playtime.

The top speaker looks sweet!!!
It would look great in my living room, *sigh* if I could afford it.

hmm...you would assume the first apple peripheral would comply with sizings of any possible new apple ipod product...doesn't look like we'll be getting any bigger than the 5.5 gen...i want my widescreen ipod and I want it b4 macworld

or is that an extra 1/2 inch in length on the journi to fit the new ipod seamlessly?

Exactly what i was thinking.
I also assume the next ipod won't be wireless yet based on products like these, I imagine they'll wait till the 7th gen ipod for that.

I concur, they will not allow microsoft to out do them.

Looks a whole lot like the $99 SpeckTone.
Benefits to the Griffin Amplifi however, are the remote control, a 5" vs. 4" woofer.
I can say that the SpeckTone sounds great though.

I'd definitely go for the Ampli if it wasn't painted grey. A dark hardwood would look excellent in a lounge or study.
I just noticed: they put the i on the other end now?
