Interactive Toys is launching the fourth revision of their Blade Runner indoor R/C helicopter -- cleverly dubbed the Blade Runner 4 -- newly enhanced with software upgrades, an increased range of over 10 meters (that's about 33 feet for the metrically challenged) and most importantly, two new tail mounted rotors for better precision. It's also more durable, to better handle the inevitable crashes when you get your hands on it this summer for $100.

I'd like to get one of these mini RC Helicopter, but how do the Bladerunners compare to the PiccoZ that are so popular at hobbytron.com ? Does anyone know of a web site where these RC helicopters are reviewed and compared?
Thanks

Try the rcgroups.com forum.
I would probably stay away from this heli.

I have the Firefly which is a little smaller with no tail rotors and it's a blast. Radio Shack has the Mosquito which has the tail rotor...Didn't find this out until after I ordered...Would have prefered the tail rotor model. The durabiliy of these are incredible. I've crashed hard many times and it hasn't broken. I do have 2 issues with mine though. One of the motor wires was improperly attached and eventually broke...Fixed. The other problem which I'm not sure what the cause is, is that every once in awhile it will not fly and just spin in circles on its rotor axis...as if one motor is not countering the other, though both are spinning. So there may be some quality issues. I will try and RMA mine. I've got 30days.

When it's spinning like that, check to make sure that the gear is in contact with the sprocket on the motor. It can partially slip off, more due to fingers than crashes.
