So one of the big complaints about the
MoGo Mouse, that Bluetooth travel mouse that fits into a PC Card slot for easy storage and charging, was that it wasn't compatible with Apple's new ExpressCard-equipped MacBook Pros (or any other laptop with an ExpressCard slot). Anyway, as expected they're addressing the issue with the MoGo Mouse X54, a new version that's designed specifically fold flat and fit into an ExpressCard slot. Should sell for $79.99 when it hits next quarter.

Looks like it will fit into the wider ExpressCard/54 slots that many new PC laptops have, but not into the ExpressCard/34 slot of MacBook Pro.

i dont know anything about express cards but i think your right. if you look at the model # its something x54 i think thats more than a coincidence.

Yeah, that picture doesn't look like it would fit into a Macbook Pro. I'd love to hear if it does. Be sure to get back to us if it does Engadget!

That's right, there are two different sizes for express card slots, some cards are 34mm wide and some are shaped like this mouse and take up 54mm at one end and 34mm on the other. Unfortunately only 54mm slots can accommodate the 54mm size cards/mice

Folks:
To clarify one point....the MoGo Mouse X54 will not fit inside the ExpressCard/34 slots that are in the MacBook Pros. They will, however, fit inside the ExpressCard/54 slots that are incorporated in many new laptops.
In addition, the MoGo Dapter is being introduced tomorrow; it is the world's smallest Bluetooth adapter, and is designed for the estimated 250 million laptops that are not Bluetooth-enabled. It's also designed so that you can simply plug it in, and not have to remove it every time you're done working.

I don't think the entire thing is meant to fit in to the slot, just the narrower end of it.

"I don't think the entire thing is meant to fit in to the slot, just the narrower end of it."
That's incorrect. The end isn't long enough to fit into a 34 slot. It's a 54 card. If it was just the narrow end, that would defeat the whole purpose of being able to hang out in the laptop when it's not being used.

From the Website:
"MoGo Mouse X54 is a business-card sized, 3-button Bluetooth-enabled mouse that stores and recharges neatly inside your laptop computer's ExpressCard/54 Card slot. MoGo Mouse X54 features a patent-pending, sleek design, and the benefit of state-of-the-art ExpressCard technology. The handy center scroll pad lets you scan documents with one-finger ease."
Center Scroll pad??? Hmmm this could be interesting.

Still no touch scroll pad; bummer!

I'll second that it looks way too wide to fit in a 34 slot. The Mogo site only says ExpressCard/54, so I think this is a case of someone not reading the article and just making guesses based on the fact that it says "ExpressCard."

Anyone know when this is likely to be available for purchase?
