MOTO Q PRO gets official
This one almost slipped right by us: earlier today Motorola formally announced the MOTO Q PRO, which we first heard rumors about back in October. This one is about the same as the original Q -- it's 11.5mm thick, QVGA display, Windows Mobile 5.0, EV-DO, just loaded up with productivity apps (viewers for Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files and an editor for Word docs), enhanced security features like data encryption, and the ability to disable the camera (which is a big deal for a lot of enterprise users. It's listed as being available now, though they don't mention a carrier in the press release.

The first one had to many negative reviews that killed its popularity somewhat, hopefully this time around they will fix the bugs from last time.

Why do so many people not take the blue sticker of the M logo on their Motorola phones?
What a useless upgrade... where's the WIFI???
No kidding Rich. Not only that but from my personal experience with the Q there a plenty of other smart phones out there that get it done much better.
) close brackets!
Is that the little protective blue film layer that has been left on the motorola logo. looks very similar to the protective peel off film on the razr when you first get one.
What a snore of an upgrade. And here I was thinking they'd pull their heads out of their asses and add WiFi to the thing.
No WiFi is a huge loss, but an extended battery without additional size is a nice addition. The lack of battery life was my biggest quibble when testing the original Q (no wifi being a close second).
According to the guy working the Verizon kiosk at my local Circuit City, this will be carried on Verizon.
Hasn't this been on the Verizon store for a week or so now? That being said, this about as good as and iPod w/ a slightly brighter screen. That's not news right? Oh, wait...
