My dad recently bought this display and I've been taking it for a spin on my computer. I have noticed colour banding, which shows it isn't really a display suited to graphic design work (a few people have mentioned that). The viewing angle is really shallow and it might have helped if Dell shipped these with a taller stand.
It's a steal at £140 though, given the size of it. Movies look good on it. Sadly the designer/photographer point of view is going to put this display down. If you're not a working professional looking for a high standard of image quality then it isn't really an issue.

Bottom line - You get what you pay for.
