Griffin's new iPod speakers Evolve -- beyond wireless
You didn't think the Mac-daddy of iPod accessories was going to go through CES, letting other companies show off wireless speakers for the famed MP3 player without throwing down its own now did you? The Evolve is a $350 system that comprises of a dock, RF remote, and two rechargeable, wireless speakers. The system streams "CD quality sound" over an unspecified wireless protocol as far as 150-feet. Finally, the dock doubles as a charger for the iPod as well as the speakers. There is however, no date specified yet for release.[Via iLounge]

How long would the speakers last before charging cause Charging speakers every hour doesnt sound any good.

Wow, the styling is beautiful, the features rock solid - I certainly hope the audio quality matches. $350 for a pair of wireless speakers sounds a bit like Wheel-of-Fortune pricing, but I guess where iPod gadgets are concerned, there's a buyer born every minute.

I think this looks like a better solution:

I just got this system as a gift and it is awesome, you leave the room and you take one of the speakers with you. Someone notes that it has to be recharged every hour, this is not so. I automatically shuts off after an hour if not in use.
I highly recommend this product, its great and the sound is great.
