ModBook photo gallery, look but don't touch ... wait, you can touch
We're guessing the singular product shot of Axiotron's ModBook wasn't enough to sate your insatiable appetite for all things Apple and all things tablet. Our friends at The Unofficial Apple Weblog were on hand for the product's official unveiling at MacWorld today and they've got the photo gallery to prove it. They've even got a box shot so you can imagine getting your own in the mail.

Look great, but I still cant see the point in a notebook that needs to be held with 2 hands to be viewed at a decent angle.
Spoken like a true non-photoshop user
Try, cradle in left arm, draw with right hand, or prop up on lap, draw with whatever hand, etc.
I wonder if they'd take my macbook and hack it up for me? That would be super cool, jumpstart some aging hardware...
modbook?

LittleJoe: Why would it need to be held with two hands? It's thin, light and small enough so that one hand can cradle the tablet easily while the other controls the stylus as needed. If enough people really want a free hand available, I'm sure these guys or some some other aftermarket company will produce a strap, sling or harness for it to hang off your arm or chest.
sfuller: It's likely more cost-efficient for them to assembly-line modify factory-new notebooks, rather than one-offs from customers bearing their own for modification. That is, if Apple isn't providing them with MacBooks slightly unassembled and sans the components they don't need to make it a tablet. And then, even more so.
wow this thing is fugly... i find it hard that Apple is allowing for such an ugly product to be running its Software i was hoping for it to look more like the patent that Apple put through.
i'd rather have that new OQO
Here's a video demo of the ModBook from MacWorld 07
