Even though Samsung's SP-P300ME never made it stateside, their SP-P310MEMX Pocket Imager LED projector will, for an MSRP of $799. The 1.5-pound projector isn't
the smallest LED projector we've seen but that's okay. The device features a DLP panel to up the resolution to 800 x 600 SVGA, an LED light source expected to give up 10,000 hours of life at 50 ANSI Lumens, and a 1000:1 contrast ratio perfect for outputting computer displays. Roll all that up into a diminutive 5" x 3.7" x 2" package, with an optional battery capable of delivering 2.5 hours of battery life (just enough time to watch a movie), and you've got yourself a pretty potent portable projector.

With a particularly mean attitude, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, and now Samsung, all exclude Canada from their LED projector offerings. Not a single business will ship a unit here. I'm so fed up whit these nazi 'statesides'.

i thought that was because Canada has the strictest health and saftey guidelines and standards in the world. Maybe they cant meet the standards in Canada with the current LED projectors. Thats pure speculation on my part though.

It's the same resolution (800x600) as the Samsung...

If you u ever need another cable for the av input, you might as well throw the projector away because it's next to imposible to get another one.

If you want to know what is inside the box you might want to check out the available report at:

The colors and color gamut are fantastic, we tested them along with lots of other parameters.
Resolution is low 800x600 and ligth output is low at 50 lumens but it is enough to watch movies or computer output at 100" diagonal. Also battery powered for remote locations.

Any idea when higher resolution/brighter LED projectors are coming to market? I'm already sold on the concept, since April 06 I've been using a Toshiba FF1. Now for a specific application I need higher res, if nothing is coming to market soon I'll need to buy a second FF1 and use them with a dual head graphics card.
