Video: iriver's 2007 CES lineup
Last year, iriver introduced the clix, known as the U10 elsewhere. Well, the second gen model looks like it's hit the gym and slimmed down to a much more attractive exterior. Yeah, we could go on for hours about the stylish clix 2, the W10, the S10 or any of their other products they're flaunting, but instead we've got a painstakingly crafted vid for y'all's to enjoy. Of course, you could always read up on these devices, but to see us see them in person, well, that's something special.

The U10 and clix 2 look AMAZING, really need to get one in my paws though. We'll see if apple wants to compete tomorrow I guess...

I think iRiver is finally starting to get it right in the design department. Those are some pretty sharp players.

Rocky @ Jan 9th 2007 3:49AM
I've been wondering where Moby has been around lately(!) ;)
Rocky @ Jan 9th 2007 3:51AM

HAHAH same size as shuffle but it has a screen..? uhm, what a pain in the ass to use...
iriver's DS is neat, but i dont need one..those clix things are fuckin sexy, though the push the sides interface is whack

Quick question, is the awful organization on the S10 because of technical limitations, or was the person loading the songs just messy? If it's technical I'll keep my iPod that doesn't have all my songs in the same folder, thanks. And it's nice to see the W10 can play "Flsah" games, whatever those are.

Ooooooh. Clix 2 ...so sexy. I want one. Iriver players rock so much. I have had an iriver H320 for awhile and I absolutely love it. Best player ever. I just need something smaller now. Clix2 seems perfect :)

Great video. I hope Engadget does more of these in the future. Still photos just don't do justice to some of these products, so its great to see them in motion and in real people's hands.

Great stuff from iriver. Just disgusted with the nail-biter fingernails. Gross!

I especially liked Pixar's "Ratatouille" as the video of choice for demonstration purposes. Surely, that's a none-too-subtle poke at Jobs' hegemony in an area where I think iriver may be about to gain significant ground.

The Clix 2 has AMOLED screen instead of LCD.
Surprised nobody mentioned this.
Mrfreezie @ Jan 9th 2007 8:34AM
Wow, those are surprisingly cool. iRiver is really starting to get the right idea.

years back iriver has these 128 & 256 mb mp3 players...I thought they looked like crap and figured I'd never like anything designed by a company that made that......but...the Clix 2 is damn nice.
The U-10 and W-10 look a lot alike...I'm having a little trouble on seeing how there for a different market...there body looks close to the same, same goes for screen size...Is the only difference is that one is touchcreen? or are they coth touch screen? How do you control the Clix 2?
Someone mentioned AMOLED...I didn't know what that was...so after doing a little reading: it stands for Active Matrix OLED, basically its better then LCD. It offers better viewing angles, consumes less juice, and higher clarity.
If they price the 8 gig version at 200 bucks...I'll buy one. (I've been eyeing for a replacement for my zen micro)

someone said something about the s10 being a pain because of the screen. same size as the nano screens and the d-click input makes it very easy to use(or so ive heard)
i just got a 4gb clix and im so jealous of the clix 2.
the unit2 looks awesome. the w10 has some potential, and if done right, could be an incredible player.
ruttiger @ Jan 12th 2007 4:01AM
Moby meets the world's least inspiring marketing droid.
Anyway....
The clix 2 looks tremendous and the media streamer looks very very tasty too. Bring it on!!
