So you've thrown down some major cabbage and gotten yourself a
serious gaming PC for the new year, and now you want a mouse just as fitting -- well look no further than
Razer's DeathAdder, say the guys over at ExtremeTech. They took the sinisterly-named peripheral for a spin, all the while pitting it against their previous fav, the
Logitech G5. Well after some grueling rounds in the pits, the DeathAdder eked out a tie with the champ, garnering a 10/10 rating and the lofty distinction of being one of the best mice they have ever used; Team ExTech loved everything about the slithery rodent, from the feel of the rubberized shell to the perfectly placed thumb buttons to the fully customizable drivers. So based on the review, it seems that any gamer even remotely serious about their ranking should be considering, if not knocking down the doors to add this glowing glory to their arsenal -- if they can deal with "only" five buttons, that is.

Not interested. Now if it was named BlackAdder and had a little picture of Rowan Atkinson, well...

Yeah, but Death Adder was the baddie in Golden Axe. Which is retro-groovy. plus the symbol looks like the flag of the Isle Of Man: http://flagspot.net/flags/im.html

Gimmie my G7 carbon anyday. When razer start making a wireless mouse - then ill be interested - after all - who want a wire traipsing out the front of the mouse, its just not comfortable - wireless ftw.
kojo87 @ Oct 21st 2007 12:16AM
real gamers dont do wireless.
i just got this mouse for $40 and i love it. i just wish you could get the logo to stay illuminated instead of pulsing.
and yes i am aware that i am extremely late to the party with this post and no one will read this.

Dan, to answer you, a good mouse has a high laser DPI, this one has 1800dpi, thats 1800 images per inch of movement the laser looks at. Other good features are high polling, 1000mhz is usual what razer does as opposed to 400 standard, which means the PC 'polls' the mouse info more frequently. Also dont listen to Rynth, wireless mouse gaming is noob, theres more lag in wireless then the ultrapolling high quality wire razer uses. Wireless FTW? what a joke, maybe it works for you in WoW...
