Sony PSP faceplates add color to US units
Nevermind all those PSP2 rumors swirling about, as the real beef all you PSP owners (at least, one's that don't demolish them for fun) have with Sony is the lack of colored units here on American soil. Apparently, someone finally figured out that blessing foreign lands with a rainbow-like assortment of PSP colors wasn't exactly fair to us North Americans, and now we're seeing blue and silver Sony faceplates pop up for those who don't mind a bit of DIY action. So if you're yearning to get a dash of color on your current PlayStation Portable, and aren't too keen on dropping 35 large, you can snag either blue or silver right now for $28.50 apiece.[Via PSPFanboy]

nice metallic blue!
Didn't Lik Sang have these before they were shut down? I distinctly remember looking at buying one for my PSP, but decided not to, as I was still under warranty. They came in all kinds of cool colors, too: Chrome, Clear, White, Blue, Red, etc.
This is remarkably old news.
do they make it in shit brown?
If you're trying to insert this as something with the Zune, then you are so stupid. Here's how it is for dummies like you: Zune is not bad, nor is it perfect. ipods aren't bad, and they're not perfect. Zunes are good, and so are ipods, ok? Sheesh. They're just music devices, nothing to get worked up about.
No, just in Chocolate Brown, but believe me you can tell the difference.
Neat, but only do it if you've had your PSP a while already. Putting one of these things on will void your warranty, since the sneaky bastards (by which I mean Sony)put a warranty sticker over one of the screws. That's pretty common, but this particular sticker has a fun effect in which the word VOID will appear all over it as soon as you pull it up. Cool! However, if your warranty HAS expired, open that sucker up. It's fun to poke around in there. It's very efficiently designed, without all the empty space you sometimes find in Nintendo handhelds (last one I opened was the GBA SP, can't say for the DS or DS Lite).
Does the PSP still have the incredibly dealbraking 320x240 limit on downloaded videos? If so, PSP fanboys have nothing to be proud of, and should shrink back into the hole where they belong.
I did the matte black faceplate. Yeah, I'm not scared to void the ole warranty. I was just sick of fingerprints. It's a decent hack, but it takes real caution to do right. My right shoulder button is just a little off. . .
they do back plate too?
