Faith-go's Inspire X does quad-core AMD style
Lest we forget, Intel's QX6700 isn't the only quad-core game in town, and while AMD's Quad FX platform might've been edged out by Intel in benchmark land, there's still plenty to love about the power chompin' beast. Faith-go is putting those cores to good use in its stylish new Inspire X FX70XN/DVR-88GTX setup, which sports an Athlon 64 FX-70 processor, along with GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB graphics, 2GB of RAM, a 10k rpm 150GB HDD, and a super multi-DVD drive. All of this (literal) hotness resides on a NVIDIA nForce 680a SLI chipset, with the chutzpah to support up to four graphics cards. Considering the bleeding edge components on display here, the $3,253 pricetag doesn't sound too ridiculous, though we're not positive this box will be making its way to the US anyways, so perhaps the point is moot.

Does anyone know what case that is?
That is the Antec 900 Case. Very nice case with a 200mm fan up top and about 3 or 4 120mm fans in front & back
Yeah, I was going to say that case is looking very nice.
I have one of those cases right now. That big freakin' 20cm fan keeps my Clawhammer core around 80 degrees F with a stock HSF, under a full load.

You could most likely buy all individual components from Newegg.com and build it yourself to save a grand or so.
I don't see how this is any better than the current Mac Pro (apple.com/macpro) which sells for less and will let you use mac OS and mac peripherals as well as teh windows stuff.
Because you can upgrade it with a plethora of hardware from competing firms. Or yeah, you could buy a MacPro and choose from... the hardware available from the Apple store. -1 for the fanboy.
hahahah. owned.
except for the fact that macs are practiclly made from the same hardware now, and you could even new egg all the parts necessary to upgrade your mac pro.
-1 to the asshole
ha ha ha let me introduce to a new vocabulary word: "driver".
-2 to the fanchild.
Actually MB you can’t really DIY these for less, even at Newegg prices. Was shopping components for a similar rig about a month ago and price kept coming up just above these OEM prices for pre built systems. The good old days of DIY is “fools gold” now. These OEMs that cater to the MOD/Gaming rig crowd are popping up everywhere and they have the advantage of wholesale bulk purchase prices. They even do liquid cooled rigs on the cheap now. It’s a damn shame I tell ya, damn shame ;^(...

AMD's 4x4 platform != Quad core.
4x4 is a dual-core, dual socket platform.
