Just in case you're looking for something similar to
OriginAE's latest LCD-equipped
HTPC enclosure, but would rather the unit come fully stocked and ready to rock, the Trinion L7 should fit the bill. This Korean-based unit packs a sexy, silver chassis, seven-inch 800 x 480 resolution touchscreen LCD monitor, 1.66GHz
Intel T5500 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 250GB hard drive, 8-channel onboard audio, gigabit Ethernet, combo drive, and Windows XP Media Center Edition pre-installed. Additionally, the company offers up an IR remote to control the action from afar, front-panel flash card readers, USB / FireWire connectors, and audio in / out ports, and the built-in UI provides easy access to DVD playback, games, office applications, photos, TV episodes, etc. While we're not sure when
South Koreans can expect this to land on local shelves, be sure to click on through for a more shots of the machine in action.

does anyone else think it looks like they just took an old case design they had laying around and dremelled a hole for the lcd or something. ugly. gawd the more i look at it the uglier it gets.
I wonder if Jobs will sue? The touchscreen looks awfully ApplePhoneish? After all , didn`t Apple invent the touchscreen?
FYI: WinXP Media Center does not support simultaneous output of different resolutions. Therefore, if you want to display the same thing on your HDTV and this "800x480" integrated display, it will need to be 800x480 to your HDTV as well. There are some crappy work-arounds like hotkey switching to go back and forth at different resolutions. However, if you have an integrated touchscreen, it seems pointless to go and get a keyboard to do your hotkey switch. Other alternatives include using extended desktop mode. However, at least with WinXP Media Center, an integrated touchscreen display is not as functional as you would expect. I really hope simultaneous displays at different resolutions is supported with Vista Media Center.
i have WMC with 2 moniters, one at 1440x900 and one at 1280x1024, so i dont know what u are talking about
skmetal7, do you have any details of how you do that?
@skmetal7:
Not sure how you are doing that. I am guessing you are using some sort of media center extender. If you are truly using the same video card to output 2 different SIMULTANEOUS resolutions, you may want to inform MS and the scads of people on AVS forums trying to get around this problem while building HTPCs with integrated LCDs:
example here: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=710809&highlight=origen.
BTW, this is also why Origen recently came out with their S21T with an integrated LCD touchscreen with hi-def resolution.
Additionally, you may be interested in this quote directly from the Microsoft website:
"Microsoft is certainly aware of the request to use different screens resolutions with two monitors. It is an often requested feature. Hoping to see some of this addressed in a future version of MCE."
