AOpen's MP945-VDR miniPC gets Vistad
AOpen's miniPC has come a long way since their first-gen crack at a miniature PC. The new MP945-VDR miniPC Duo builds upon the MP945-VXR platform by slamming the Vista OS, dual-channel DDR2 memory (4GB max), 6x USB 2.0 ports, and a beefier power supply into an all black chassis. Otherwise, nothing else has changed -- choice of Core 2 Duo procs, DVI and S/PDIF digital out, gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g WiFi(optional), Bluetooth (optional), integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics, a mini PCI slot, DVD±RW optical drive, and choice of 2.5-inch SATA disk -- which isn't a bad thing.[Via Impress]

can you put your drugs in it?
Shouldn't it be "Vista'd"?
You're editor should have caught that.....errrr wait you don't have one
/clams up and reminds himself he applied for job.
Vista'd = Vista did? And Vistaed looks stupid. I'm pretty sure Vistad is the least lame looking. To side-skirt the entire issue, one could have used "... Upgraded with Vista" or "... Vista Upgrade", which would have probably been the best choice.
I'm guessing price is around $1K for this? That was the list price of the previous model.
Lost me at GMA 950 Graphics. The first device like this with a PCIE slot for a real video card will win my $$$$.
So what is the story with HD and Cablecard support? This seems like a good tivo replacement if it had decent HD support
Anyone have any thoughts on the GMA 950? I want a small form factor, silent desktop, but it has to be able to play World of Warcraft in a decent resolution/frame rate. Is the GMA 950 up for the challenge? My laptop has the Extreme Graphics 2, which is nowhere near beefy enough.
