Cenio Arttops don't leave their specs at home
We're pretty accustomed by now to the habit of "fashionable" device manufacturers leaving out all the snazzy specs for the sake of looks -- or sometimes, it seems, just to spite us. Not so with these new limited edition "Arttops" from Cenio, which probably wouldn't make it to the top of the heap in any sort of benchmark bakeoff, but at least manage not to be total slouchers. The 15.4-inch M1550 "King" laptop and 14.1-inch M1410 "Queen" laptop each sport Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz processors and 1GB of DDR2 RAM, with the King running a 120GB HDD and the Queen settling for 100 gigs. Both computers include built-in 1.3 megapixel webcams, DVD / CD-RW combo drives, 7-in-1 card readers and Intel 950 graphics. Nothing too astounding, and of course the $2,986 and $2,915 pricetags are a tad outlandish, but each laptop is hand signed by the artist Selwyn Senatori, and only 100 of them will be built.

So ... fugly.
Hey, why does the "Queen" have a smaller screen and a smaller hard drive. Is this some sexist slap at women who don't really need a man-sized computer?
Any ladies care to comment?
"Is this some sexist slap at women who don't really need a man-sized computer?"
Yes. Yes it is.
Oh wait. There are no ladies on Engadget.
The King and Queen of Cheese.
I'm just glad there isn't a "Princess" model. God knows what that would look like.
People actually pay extra to get a laptop covered in graffiti ?
Hmm, I've suddenly thought of a use for my old laptop and the dog poo sitting on the front lawn ;p
Cronick-- I resent your comment that there are no ladies on engadget! Lady geeks read tech blogs too!
I do, in fact, find it a bit sexist that the queen laptop has a smaller hard drive and screen. Girls need nice laptops too!
That said-- the idea of a pink laptop is cute and geek chic... but these are fug.
If the art laptops are not really your thing, but you find grey computers boring... then check www.cenio.com and choose your own color & tech specs.
Greetings, Cenio Computers
Ps. What kind of design should we make next time...
