Ready for
HP's latest iPaq -- that does not even resemble a traditional iPaq? HP's new "iPaq Voice Messenger" device is, well, just that -- a newer cellphone with a traditional numeric keypad. Normal features from "smarter" phones are in there, like the new Windows Mobile 6 and of course built-in WiFi. What is new about this baby, according to HP's marketing machine? The
510 has HP's "Voice Commander" so that it can read emails through the loudspeaker and respond to voice commands that control just about anything on the unit itself -- like those in cars that can't stop working even while they are driving. Now that's multitasking -- and it's more safe than navigating to your Outlook server while driving, even with the best d-pad there is. You can even compose an "audio email" via voice control (sweet, we think). EDGE comes standard (
wha -- no HSDPA?) and Laptop Review has a pretty good impression of the device with all it has onboard (like HTML email). Will it fly off shelves?

This thing is ugly, and brings nothing to the table. iPAQ used to be the BMW of Pocket PC's. Now they could give a crap. :(

I have to disagree, Dustin. I think the phone looks pretty nice. Although it's more of a mid-range phone. I like it, but it's apparantly being marketed as a business phone when it's qualified to be a personal phone with a not-so-useful email reader.

Is it just me or this is made by SonyEricsson? It looks totally like k510 or 610 with some little changes.. It's not 3G so it's basicly and upgraded k510 with fancy software in it :)
(They didnt even changed the phones code - 510 :D )
None the less, it's a nice thingy (I'm more of a walkman person)

I love the design. I guess I'm easier to please than others but I think the design of this thing is beautiful. I'll be looking to get one of these when they're available.
