Motorola's SLVR L9 brings the multimedia
Motorola just busted out their new SLVR L9 handset in Barcelona. The latest SLVR ditches the laser etched keypad and brings a focus on multimedia with an integrated FM radio with RDS support, A2DP stereo Bluetooth, and support for MP3/AAC/AAC+/AAC+ enhanced/ AMR/ WAV ringtones and music. It also comes packin' a 2 megapixel camera with MPEG-4 video capture and Moto's CrystalTalk technology said to enhance conversations in noisy environments. No word on whether this is a tri-band or quad-band SLVR, only that it sports GPRS/EDGE class 10 data. It also features microSD and MegaSIM expansion and up to 400 minutes of talk time and 350 hours of standby time. Ready sometime in Q2... somewhere in the world. More images after the break.

Fairly nice design, although it would be much better if it was packing WM6 Standard in there :D

Holy crap. A Motorola RZR/SLVR product that has 2 megapixel camera, FM, expandable memory, decent sound quality, and the minimum acceptable talk time. The world as I know it is falling apart. I admit, I'm scared, but I hope this trend continues.
Now if they'd only lose the candy bar-esque style and realize that I'd pay for a bigger phone that's comfortable to hold and has even more battery life (of the non-exploding variety), I'd get one the first chance I could.

This seems like they only added their new voice gimmick, radio, MPG-4 capture, and .7mp to their old L7e/L71. It's not a major upgrade at all, so I don't think I'll be getting it. Especially as the CIF sized 3gp recordings on the L7e/L71 compete with higher end Samsung phones, and the battery life seems to be about the same this new L9.
I'm pretty sure the phone will be quad band, as triband would just be stupid, seeing as all other SLVRs have quad band ability.
And why would you want a standard headphone jack on a product that supports A2DP? Headphone jacks take up too much space, and A2DP is a great solution for that IMO

the phone has a strong features, and that amazed me so much, and has extinguished the phone among other Moto L series.
it really good to own it, but it's just the price that's need to be adjusted.
it's cool!
