Fujifilm's Z5fd compact digicam arrives in pink
If there's ever a good time to locate a pink-clad gizmo to fit in with the surrounding holiday, that would be now. You latecomers or forgetful ones should greatly appreciate Fujifilm's pretty-in-pink Z5fd digital camera, which sports a six-megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, 2.5-inch monitor, face-finding abilities, and built-in image stabilization to boot. Moreover, you'll find 26MB of internal memory in case you don't have the cash to spring for an xD card right away, and the dual shot mode, iFlash, and 30fps movie mode should come in handy capturing the night out on the town. Possibly the best feature of this digicam (aside from the color) is its immediate availability, but you should probably scrounge up that $219.99 and make a run for it to beat the hordes of others having the same idea.

They got this camera over at Best Buy. Despite it's unappealing color (to me anyway), it really is a great lil' cam. Easy to use, blazing fast for a compact digital camera, and has just about every feature you need for a pocket cam. Now if only they'd start putting some silver or black colors on the shelf as well.

We picked up the silver color in Hong Kong a couple weeks ago. Silver definitely looks best...the cocoa one is just weird and this pink one is silver on the back and doesn't look so great as a two-tone design.
Other that it is a great camera. Very decent flash for its size. Face tracking feature is awesome. Videos are very good although you can't zoom during recording.
We have also had one hell of a time finding a case for this one as its dimensions are different than many small cams and we want a tight fitting case.

Forgot to mention they FINALLY added a tripod port to this line...lots of complaints on prior models for that lack of feature.

This is a pretty good price considering ebay sellers have it up for $250 @ the lowest & that any other color is not readily available.
I've got the Z1 & must say it's performed very well for the past two years. No scratches on the screen & the slide open/turn on functionality is very straightforward for both me & my wive (who hates buttons & "manuals").
6mp isn't great by today's standards, but it's enough for most.

The term "image stabilization" here is a misnomer. There is no optical image stabilization, no mechanical lens/sensor setup. This camera just bumps up the ISO, so there may be a corresponding loss of image quality.

no optical IS is correct but the digital IS is disabled as default settings
