Hands-on with Motorola's MOTORIZR Z8
We just got the chance to go mano a mano with the MOTORIZR Z8 here at 3GSM. Whether you call it a kick-slider or banana, one thing's for sure: it feels good pressed up to the face. Just check the pics to see how greasy close it's been to the legions of sweaty geek-cheeks here in Barcelona. Eww, man sweat -- but ohhh Symbian.

Ring ring ring ring ring ring ring ring Banana phone...
Come on guys... I know technically you are "just a blog" but you can do better on the photos. DON'T USE DIRECT FLASH!!! Use a diffuser or just turn it off. And if you're not sure, use the review feature of your camera to check for glare. GEEZ!!
Question: does it feel thick or hefty? As a previous Symbian developer, this IS the fone I want.
Not just the rookie flash, but how about reworking awkward phrases that let the mind wander into "...she said" territory?
Jimeny, wipe that thing on your shirt, or a napkin or SOMETHING. It looks craptastic.
I always find it interesting when people complain that pictures like this look like they do because this is what it's actually going to look like if you buy one to use it. Those perfect pictures that you find on the company website are nothing more than a fantasy.
This thing needs an invisible shield to take care of that smudgy screen.
wow, sell some of that phone grease to McDonald's, you'll have lunch money in no time.
Look at all the oily fingerprint on it...
So Wen u say Hands-on u really Mean "HANDS - ON"
And here is our top contender for the worst engadget published blog photo of the year.
Another great photo ruined by Johnny Vaseline Hands.
Disinfect and try again.
Well it is from Thomas Ricker. I mean you thought William T Ricker was lame, here comes the transporter clone!
I haven't started to read the main article yet. But just the photos and the comments have really got me a laugh. I like it!
Non-touchscreen UIQ. Interesting....
Eww, man. I guess I can understand the screen being smooth and shiny (and a grease magnet), but why the buttons and part of the back of the phone, too? This is why I barely play my DS Lite. It's pretty bad about getting greasy like that, despite frequent hand-washing.
This picture reminds me of what I've always thought...I wish we had non-glossy gadgets, they're great for showroom floors and mock up images cause they look oh so pretty but in the actual world of use (wear and tear) I hate having to wipe the phone because of all the fingerprints. I mean there may not be a way around the screen being glossy but I wish each and every gadget wasn't completely glossed including the outer shells. I guess I like a matte finish or some type of texture...maybe I'm the only one.
Until there's a drug to stop sebum coming out of your hands, this will always happen to touchscreen devices.
You think this looks bad, imagine how nasty the iPhone screen is going to get.
is it just me or does that phone look really huge? and plus, wash your hands you gross nerd.
If for some reason I don't get an Iphone, I could see myself getting this as my next phone. Well done Motorola. Way better than the SLVR.
My god you're greasy!
Seriously guys, you couldnt have taken the tail of your shirt and wiped off the fingerprints before taking pictures you were planning to post on the internet where tens of thousands of people were going to be looking at them? Shame on you.
I love it... but not the Symbian. Linux PLEASE!
ddaaaaayum weird lookin phone but theres obviously a camera on the front and in the pics was that a 20 megapixel camera on the back???? so the front one is for video chatting nice
