Robo Catcher in the wry
We're all familiar with the ol' UFO Catcher crane-and-claw game right? Well check the latest Japanese twist to the carny fave: the Robo Catcher. No, it's not some kind of submissive robot action game perv, this one's for the kids. Only this time, the claw has been replaced by what appears to be a Kondo KHR-1HV robot which you control via joystick to grab the booty and drop it down the glory chute. Of course, it's only a matter of time until sacrificial humans replace the stuffed bunny prize. Until then, think of it as a glimpse into our dystopian destiny of robotic servitude. Video after the break.

amazing
Amazing...but more importantly an interesting view of future games in which each player controls a physical robo. Foosball kicked up several levels. Much cool.
Please don't tell me this the title is supposed to be a play on the famous booy, "Catcher in the RYE." Because then we have a serious problem with spelling, literacy, or both.
Well, now, that's just ironic. Book, I meant book. Slap!
ckworkaddress,
Spelling intentional. Read the definition of "wry" and then re-read the piece. Maybe then you'll get the joke.
Thomas
man that kid sucks at guiding the robot. That was so frustrating to watch. Seems like it's pretty forgiving with the retries, unlike the weakass claw games we have to today.
And even knowing the definition of the word wry doesn't make your joke funny.
I'd put in quarters just to make the little guy dance.
His walk is funny. ^^
Best clip ever.
Im going to my local mall and demand this be put in! Those claw games suck! This one seems to give you alot of time...im sure they would cut it down to 30secs here in the states.
Now i can see a robot fight game come out of this....probably not destroy the other robot but at least knock it down.
