Motorola KRZR K1 landing on T-Mobile in March
It's hardly a secret that T-Mobile has been eyeing Motorola's KRZR K1, but it looks like the pairing will soon finally see the light of day, with the carrier set to launch its own version of the flip phone on March 26th, bringing up the rear behind Verizon, Sprint, and Cingular. While it's a little late to the game, T-Mobile does get some minor bragging rights of its own, offering the phone in an exclusive "silver quartz" color scheme, as well adding stereo Bluetooth compatibility to the mix. Otherwise, the phone's specs are the same as we first spotted all those months back, with a 2 megapixel camera, 176 x 220 display, quad band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz), EDGE, and a promised 200 to 400 minutes of talk time. While there's no word on pricing just yet, we wouldn't expect it to be too far off the $200 Cingular's asking for the phone after the usual rebates and contract signings.[Thanks, TJ]

Late to the party - especially with 3G not coming until March or maybe as late as June. But T-Mo is cheaper than all the other companies. That is why I and many others have stuck with them. (Though, I haven't seen numbers)

Uhm, T-Mo isn't getting an exclusive on stereo Bluetooth compatibility. All the KRZR K1's have it...

Stereo bluetooth is not being added because it has always been in the GSM version.

The best part about the T-Mobile device... is T-Mobile. For $6 one can surf the net for an unlimited time and use unlimited kilobytes. Download a version of Opera, and it's even better. You can relax and surf the web. NO OTHER WIRELESS carrier offers this deal and peace of mind.

I have been with t-mobile for a 2 years now and I just got the Motorola KRZR K1 and I like it I had the nokia5300 untill it broke so I got the KRZR and I love it. I have checked other cell services out and T-mobile seems to be the cheapist to me

My mother has a KRZR for work, and one of my friends has one as their regular cell phone... They have THE WORST operating system of ANY phone I've ever used. It's counter-intuitive, limited in its abilities, and unpleasant overall. I personally have a Sanyo Katana (a 3 1/2 year old phone) and I consider it orders of magnitude better than the KRZR.

Not to bring up a dead article or anything... but it comes up really high on some Google searches. People, avoid the KRZR.
