Engadget's 3rd Birthday Giveaway - Day 1

- Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX + Copy of Lego Star Wars II + Xbox 360 for Windows Controller
- SanDisk Sansa e280R
- Netgear WGR101 Wireless Travel Router
- Samsung A920 (Sprint)
- v-moda bass-freq headphones
Here's what you have to do to win:
Make a post in the comments below with links to your favorite Engadget posts from each of the past three years (i.e. post your fave link from 2004, your fave from 2005, and your fave from 2006). Make sure you have one post from each year, as well as why it's your favorite post of that year, otherwise we have to disqualify your entry. It's a little tougher if you haven't been reading the site since 2004, but you gotta give something back to the old school, right? We'll pick five winners at random from among all qualifying entries.
A few rules (yeah, there are always rules):
- You may only enter this specific contest once. If you enter this contest more than once you'll be automatically disqualified and barred from all future giveaways. (Yes, we have robots that thoroughly check to ensure fairness.) You may enter our other Birthday contests, but you can't win more than once; if you happen to win more than once (which is pretty unlikely, but still) we'll ask you to choose just one of your prizes.
- You can only win once.
- This contest is open to anyone anywhere.
- Contest is open until 11:59pm EST on Sunday, March 4th.

Happy birthday!... my favourite blog is growing and flourishing... i remember that the first time i ever got on your site i laughed my ass off, and since then i've been a fan, reading every new article... so, let me show you my choices:
2004 - http://www.engadget.com/2004/09/17/the-godfather-horse-head-pillow/
this is the first ever article i read on engadget, loved it, would have bought the thing if shipping wasn't that expensive. this is the beginning and thus the best in 2004.
2005 - http://www.engadget.com/2005/08/22/engadget-1985/
i have always been a sucker for bbs, and nostalgia came in lightning-fast... the style, the real cutting-edge gadgets from '85, the same cool and witty engadget-own rewieving style.. i loved it and still love it!
2006 - http://www.engadget.com/2006/02/13/introducing-engadget-mobile/
for the big mobile fan that i am, this was pure bliss :) it became the quickest easy way of finding out what's new in the mobile world, all the gossip and the rumors and then, the real things. Lovely!
there you go! keep up the good work!..

Happy Birthday Engadget!
My favourites:
2006 on February 8th:
Valentine's Day, Engadget Style
http://www.engadget.com/2006/02/08/valentines-day-engadget-style/
I think these are the features on Engadget that I enjoy reading the most -- gift ideas for the significant other. Although Engadget is a tech news blog, it's great that contributers research on gadgets that we might have overlooked / not have known of. The 06 valentines special + the podcast was wonderful.. Ryan knows his pink gadgets.
2005 on October 12th:
Palm releases the Z22 and TX handhelds
http://www.engadget.com/2005/10/12/palm-releases-the-z22-and-tx-handhelds/
This article will always be dear to my heart - I still remember making an impulse purchase of a Palm TX, which is still kicking today, upon reading the news. I'm waiting till Engadget reports news of a TX successor.
2004 On June 10th
Modding the Rio Karma
http://www.engadget.com/2004/06/10/modding-the-rio-karma/
Mods are always impressive, but no matter how simple it seemed I didn't dare. But, I actually did the 40 gig mod to my Karma to serve me before the release of the Chroma.
Keep up the great work !

This is what I tought very interesting, I used to shoot film back in the day and when I changed to Digital I liked it alot more then film, The only problem I thing about my 20D is I would like to get some more pixels. When they said the new 1Ds Mark II had beaten the Film I was very happy.
