GameCube on: the 'Cube is officially not dead -- yet

"We are continuing to manufacture and sell Nintendo GameCube, which is an ideal entry-level value system and has a strong library of games. The continuing appetite for new games is best demonstrated by strong sales of the GameCube version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which is one of the top 10 industry titles. And, Nintendo GameCube still enjoys solid third-party support."
Alright, you heard it, you can still enjoy GC console availability for the time being before they finally scorch that earth. Now stop staring and move on with your life. That means you, Paul.

Excellent graphic! I love that movie.

My understanding is that there are some games from Dreamworks and other movie studios that were licensed to be made based on movies and that the game studios want to develop them for the Cube because they already have the development process in place. So the games that are coming out may be licenses based on movies.

Bah humbug.. who cares. It was dead when it came out, and still can't even compare its sales to the PS2.

? When did the GC have that when it was still 'alive' sure the odd few titles here and there.
Still picking a GC up In the UK is very cheap at the moment (£29 in some stores) and with ASDA/Walmart selling the PS2 for £49 it seems like there are a few good bargains to be had (and lots of games to be played).

How could it be when you have the Wii which is nothing more a boosted up Gamecube, with a new controller?

GameCube did not die when it was released, nor did it when Resident Evil 4 was released. Even today, the GameCube is still officially alive since not only is it still in production but there are a handful of third party games coming this year, including Radio Allergy and Madden NFL 08.
