PS2 controller frankengrafted to PSP
Taking after our own Ben Heck in fantastically useful/less console hackymods, a user by the name of F00 f00 has managed to successfully graft a full size PlayStation 2 controller -- not that junk-ass rumble-free PS3 affair -- to the rear end of his PSP. Homebrew and emulation will certainly benefit from the addition, but it's pretty clear that any PSP so heavily jacked into and expanded upon would be best suited for showing off on forums where cred and props far outweigh everyday usefulness.

You know, I've been saying that Sony should build an add-on similar to this for adding a second analog nub and two more triggers. My only question is if both sticks work and if all buttons function.
No, he must have done it for the looks.
Of course the buttons work (at least the ones the PSP uses).
amazing
seems redundant to have two controllers... but i get how one may need the ps2 controller on something that gets really hard to hold on to for long periods.
you idiot. he meant do the extra buttons work on the psp because the psp doesnt have the right analog and the triggers.
You mean buttons, not triggers. :P
Hmm, that must be why I said "at least the ones the PSP uses." How in the hell would the extra ones work? Not only would they connect to nothing, but no games would use them.
Wow thats so weird, i was just coming to see if it was on engadget and it is the first one!

Is it possible just to asterix out anything that says igolg? There has to be a way to keep spammers out of this place, or at least not let their messages be read.
As a handicapped player, I find this sweet. I mean, the distance from the right on the PSP D-Pad to the Square button, is about 7.5 inches, which is pretty far when you can only play one-handed. But the PS2 controller reduces that distance to something I can handle.
If I ever get a PSP, I may pursue the modding further. It'll definitely be worth my while to do it.
