Is this depiction of the redundantly-named
Moto Q q9 in AT&T livery utterly Photoshoppable? Yes; but is the idea of the q9 coming to AT&T completely believable, too? Yeah, we'd say so. This hot little image, while grainy, clearly shows that stylized new-style "globe" logo we've been seeing
as of late on its rear and bottom -- and with support for 3.6Mbps HSDPA data, GPS navigation, Windows Mobile 6, and
Opera out of the box, we're just fine with this turning out to be legit. The tipster tells us that it won't be called the Q when it comes to the US' largest GSM network, though whether it retains the "q9" branding remains to be seen -- as does a release date. We suppose we can bide our time with an Amoi-sourced
SMT5700 while we wait.
[Thanks, anonymous tipster]

I want this phone, but for Sprint.
I wish there was some news of a release date. If it comes out in the next few months, I'd wait. But I'll go regular Q if I get too antsy.

Q just came out on Sprint. I doubt seeing the Q9 soon on that network. Verizon is another story, their Q is 1 year old.

"...clearly shows that stylized new-style "globe" logo we've been seeing.."
Do you mean the REAL AT&T logo:

Does the q9 have a thumb wheel? I can't find a mention of it.

The Q9 and GSM Q are for GSM users Cingular, opps I meant the new at&t and T-Mobile (isn't time they changed their name too, VoiceStream (I liked better then T-Mobile), Omnipoint, etc) users. The Q9 or whatever they are going to call it is hot, can't wait for this phone to replace my blackjack....

you mean the real at&t logo, just tilted.

I am a sprint customer for longest period of time, and bought the PPC 6700 the week it came out (1.5 years ago), and getting really antsy to upgrade, not sure I can live with Sprint's 3rd class phone selection for a long time.
When will Sprint get it? One of the top reasons people change mobile phone companies is the next coolest handset and Cingular totally gets it...Look at the subscriber growth...
Only if Cingular would cut their data prices to Sprint's level, I guess that is the price you pay for cooler phones...

perspective pic looks aboslutely faked. Plus the phone is butt ugly too. I'm calling fake on this.
