You are totally right. In my opinion the best photo frames are those which are really PHOTO frames and just display photos (as opposed to most photo frames, or as I call it, multimedia frames, which are sold). Who needs a calendar in a time of mobile phones and notebook? Who wants to watch movies on his frame when he has a large screen notebook or a DVD player? Who listens to music on his frame when he can have much better quality with other devices?

Digital Photo Frames are cool, but I say keep them simple and low cost for the masses.
Don't over-feature them to the point where a guy can't buy one for his mom, you know? (hint hint)
-or at least keep a simplified line of them.
