PSP steering wheel mod rides into reality

When it comes to video game-related mods, practicality is often the first casualty, as is fully evidenced by this latest bit of a workmanship from AcidMods member Neubit. Apparently, like so many others, the PSP's nub got the better of him, prompting him to enact his revenge by wiring up a PS2 steering wheel to the handheld's buttons and analog control. As the video after the break shows, the whole setup appears to work reasonably well -- or, at least as well as a full-size steering wheel hooked up to a PSP can be expected to work.[Via PSP Fanboy]

I still love my PSP to death.. but I think all I really need is the PS2 like handles with the battery inside to make it comfy to play on for hours.
I though the mod was to mount your PSP to a steering wheel.

What about that video of the person who had an ipod that supposedly had a touchscreen. Could this have happened on the psp? It can play video too.

Just what I want to do... carry around a PSP AND some steering wheel. Why not just plug the steering wheel into a PC and play on a screen larger than 4inches?

Is it just me or did the reaction-time between when the steering turned and the car turned seem to lag...alot?
That's what i'm saying.... what if the kid just had screenshots of the game and moved the wheel in sync? Just like the fake iPod video....
What i want to see is a psp with motion control hacked on it like that 360 controller.
