Vista users complaining of slow file movements

finally, i have had this problem ever since i started using vista, but never really realised that it was the os that was causing the slowness. I've been blaming my hard disk all the time, thinking it was dying, until i noticed that it was slow as a camel in all the hard disks.

hope they release a better working hotfix since the one i found doesn't seem to help much (it was stated that it was for network transfers, not local)
