Belkin's USB / iPod hubs neatly plug excess desk holes
Belkin's no stranger to innovative USB hubs, and the outfit seems to have struck gold again with its latest lineup of hole clogging USB / iPod hubs. In an attempt to plug those often unused desk holes which always seem to fall just out of reach when trying to route your myriad of cabling, Belkin's two- and three-inch In-Desk USB Hubs provide a nifty excuse to decorate your aging computer desk whilst adding some much needed (or wanted) functionality. Available in a slanted front-access edition or a flush-mounted version, each of the four-port USB hubs will run users $39.99 whenever Belkin decides to unleash 'em, and for the iPod owners in the house who've somehow avoided another docking solution, the $39.99 In-Desk Dock for iPod provides the obvious connection for syncing / charging while still neatly covering that gaping spot.

@ Scott
Indeed lol. I can hear the drills come Monday and the weekend just started.
Ken @ Mar 31st 2007 1:20PM
The correct item is 3" hole saw. A 3" drill bit would require a monster drill.
justin @ Mar 30th 2007 11:44PM
i'd actually drill a hole to put one or two of the usb hubs in my desk.
Richard @ Mar 31st 2007 12:24AM
I've never had those holes in any my desks... weird...

I wonder when these companies will stop making all the accessories for iPods. Or will they never stop? There's probably like 100 different docks now. It's kinda getting annoying lol.
Well I guess this is somewhat different. "Innovative" as it's called. But really.. gah! lol
Oh well, it's money right? ;)

Very slick!!
kingofwale @ Mar 31st 2007 1:34AM
I like the design, but does it have to come in that ugly black colour? especially on wood.
I bet it's Apple or Microsoft's idea... make it black, charge it more. ;)
Kodiak41226 @ Mar 31st 2007 1:48AM
Wow, I can't remember when I saw something I wanted so damn bad. Unleash them already.
Sam @ Mar 31st 2007 1:59AM
Did it take this long for someone to come up with this idea? Or are there some out there already?
tau zero @ Mar 31st 2007 2:25AM
most of the desks ive seen dont have those holes in such convienient places. its usually behind the monitor or on the side of my desk.
although this is a cool idea.
Galley @ Mar 31st 2007 10:03AM

I wouldnt mind drilling a 3 inch hole in my desk to pop one of those bad boys in there... its better than having a usb hub which just creates even more wires...
greatslack @ Mar 31st 2007 12:29PM
I bought a desk about a year ago and it came with one of the silver USB hubs pictured here. You have to plug the unit into the wall on the one I have, but these new ones might run completely off the power from the USB connection.
john russell @ Mar 31st 2007 2:01PM
I'm with Justin on this one.
Keyan Mobli @ Mar 31st 2007 3:21PM
Ive had that belkin hub in my desk forever (the middle one). It came with one.
DeAthWaGer @ Mar 31st 2007 5:21PM
Now all we need is the adult toy industry to make something to fit into that hole...
Doug Weglarz @ Apr 2nd 2007 5:40PM
Note: If your desk does not have a pre-drilled hole in it, you can drill one yourself using a
3-inch hole saw (requires separate purchase, not from Belkin).
