HD DVD and Blu-ray releases on April 3rd, 2007

It would be hard for either side to live up to last week's great titles and it appears neither side is going to try. Blu-ray roles out three new catalog titles and one new release for those who don't mind movies without an English sound track. HD DVD only has one title this week and while it isn't Children of Men, it is a day and date release from HD DVD's savior Universal. Blu-ray will hit 200 titles next Tuesday, including a Monday release of Dragon's Liar, which will be counted on next week's post. There must be something about the spring time when studios don't like to release new movies to home video, but looking ahead, this summer should have more than enough new titles for anyone.
