iRobot launches Verro poolbots
Robots and pools aren't always so very chummy, but iRobot's new Verro 600 (pictured) and Verro 300 pool cleaning bots are all about the water, and should be able to beat the pants (or hose, if you will) off of any standard pool vacuum. These aren't the first robotic pool vacs we've seen, Aqua Products had the Aquabot T2 a ways back, and in fact iRobot has teamed with Aqua Products to build these new Verro bots. Both Verro models clean the entire pool "from floor to waterline" in 60 to 90 minutes, using iRobot's patented AI and some fancy vacuum, jets, brushes and filtration systems. The $799 Verro 300 is designed for gunite or concrete surfaces, while the $1,199 Verro 600 does up vinyl, tile and fiberglass pools. Both are available now.

So I guess we'll start to see tons of these on Woot! next to the Roombas and Scoobas?
Seems awfully suspicious to me. We're heading into Paradise Towers territory here.

Erm...I've had one of their robots since like 1992...They've been around for a while.
So, this one has new AI, or something?
Watch Apple make a similiar product called i-Robot and get sued by i-Robot Corp.
I think Apple would call their product the iSuck (haha, OK, not really) but something maybe like iVac would be more their style.

My first thought on reading this was of poor Haley Joel Osment on the bottom of the pool...
Well, I guess this thing is less likely to put the moves on my wife than the pool boy... or is it?
being able to clean g-unit pools a must
I, for one, welcome out robotic pool-cleaning overlords...
What's new about this other than the iRobot badge? It doesn't even skim the surface like the Hayward Phantom.
There's a line in her about my wife sleeping with the poolboy, but I ain't touching it.
why is everything called a 'robot' these days? this si nothing but a vibrator with wheels. even worse those ~battle-bots~, they're remote control for f****ks sake!!
i think this is misleading advertising
ummmm how does it clean the side of the pool without breaking away and sinking to the bottom of the pool??
so if i was lazy i could fill my tub full of water and watch it clean my tub?
