nearly two years apart to the day -- the Seiko Watch corporation has finally taken the wraps off a female version of its original
Spectrum Electronic Ink watch from 2005. Although both watches sport a distinctly bracelet-like shape, this new timepiece for the ladies is a full wraparound design that could easily be mistaken for a piece of jewelery, especially if the display is set to loop animations in so-called "mystery mode." With the male Spectrum still difficult if not impossible to come by --
only 500 have been made so far, supposedly, priced north of $2,000 -- it's not clear when the average consumer will able to get her hands on this, but at least you protesters can stop picketing Seiko headquarters and go back to your jobs if you still have one.

Seiko, I would purchase this watch as a gift without a second though if the price point was between 200 and 300 USD.
I "think" from reading TZ's watch forums that this watch starts at approx. $5100.
When I first saw the photo I thought it was a ring. Which then gave me the idea that they should come out with a ring watch. With the new advancements in batteries and screens (both flat and flexible) it could be possible.

I thought the same thing. If it were a ring I would buy it and wear it and not ever feel the slightest bit gay.
Man that would make the most amazing cell phone ever, all you need is a bluetooth headset and you are good to go. Motorola, LG, Nokia (ok maybe not Nokia) designers, get to work.
