Nokia's rumored 8600 "Luna" exposed
The rumored Nokia 8600 "Luna" just got a lot more real now that a suspiciously similar twin is teasing us from the Carphone Warehouse site. The site dubs the phone the Nokia High Fashion because it's "so new it doesn't even have a model number." Sure, whatevs. At least they know that it's "coming soon" with an "on-screen menu system," 2 megapixel camera for photos and video, MP3 player, and 1GB of built-in memory. It's also likely to be sporting Series 40 under that sliding, semi-transparent hood. Nice.[Via Stuff.tv]

Let's hope they beat the battery life of the 8800, no doubt this will cost £800+ at launch and be bought by all the Asians in Birmingham then be sold out for the next 6 months.
It's 2005 all over again.

Perhaps the on-screen menu system is same thing found in N800, system that "calls up on-screen menus relevant to the current activity".
Though my initial thought was that the the menu system would've been like something similar of symbian, like showing all the menu options on screen in contrast to the one seen on series 40 phones, hiding the unhiglighted options "off-screen".

這是由 Acer 開發的一項美國專利,簡單來說就是 user 透過顯示器的 OSD (on-screen display) 直接操控其顯示模式 (可將其設定存入顯示器的 EEPROM 中),而不經由作業系統。
