$2100 for HD radio? Oh well I'll pass on this generation. Put HD radio in all the models and we'd be talking, but if the passkey for that and hdmi 1.3 and HD 8 channel sound is that high, I'll wait.
They behave like it was complicated to include it. Perhaps they ought to get some REAL engineers...
Yeah, thats right... all you get is HD Radio for your 2 large. No upconverting, no amplification, no HDMI 1.3, no.... no... oh wait.... there's a lot more than just the HD Radio.
Before you start slaggin on Onkyo for at least offering all three of the 'next gen' radio formats, try using one first. How many other home theater companys offer both XM and Sirius, let alone HD Radio. Hell, at this point, even Integra (onkyo's premier line) doesn't offer both XM and Sirius + HD Radio.
Look at it this way, with these upcoming recievers you're kind of future proofing your satelite radio needs. If the XM/Sirius merges is approved, you're covered. If it doesnt get approved, you're covered. If the satelites fall from the sky and all you're left with is terresterial radio, you're covered.
