Just picked an Express up at best buy - $49.99 + tax. This purchase was a no-brainer. Compatibility with Rhapsody to go (and other music subscription services) is what initially sold me. At $15/ month for unlimited music on my Sansa Express (and my Roku), this to me is the only way to go if you're always looking for new music. Dumping iTunes was an easy decision, especially after my 3rd (!) ipod's battery died. With an additional $30 2GB MicroSD card, as far as I can calculate (@128Kbps) this little gem will hold around 40 ALBUMS! This is just me, but that's plenty of content to have on hand between synchs. I'm actually using my old ipod buds for now and they sound decent. The included earbuds on the Sansa are awful. The biggest surprise in this player was the clarity and strength of the FM tuner. This is a nice little bonus, and pretty useful, since it has the record-from-FM feature. All else has been properly described in the reviews - crisp display, direct USB connection, decent sound quality, etc..
So to summarize: Sansa Express: $50 2GB MicroSD: $30 ipod buds: free plus Rhapsody to go: $15/month and Rhapsody will switch all your iTunes over with a single click....
The Rip is the latest addition to the Boogie eWriter line, devices that let you scribble notes and drawings and can be wiped away with the press of a button.
