Which unit included the power brick that doesn't have an AC ground pin?

I've seen that this comment has been "Lowest Ranked". However, I have to agree with this person to some extent. Now, I use the PlayStation 3, but I do believe that the white Xbox 360 is a very well-engineered electronic device as well. But the matte black just doesn't work for the Xbox 360. Especially combining it with the ring of light. In white, the Xbox 360 looks great, but matte black simply doesn't suit it.
looks sweet, nothing too special tho, good for digital video and extra storage, thats about it.
Why is it that the black looks so much like a wierd charcoal grey? Kind of how some cars plastic parts look before they are painted.
did it come with a transfer cable for the hard drive or are we completely left in the dark, mine should be shipped out soon (later release date in canada)

I don't have a HDTV yet but I want the capability.
No need, it comes with the console. The component/composite cable the original had is still included, in addition to the HDMI.
I was thinking of buying one of the black controllers as a second controller, but with that grey rubber piece at the bottom they just look mismached and cheapish.
Kind of remind me of one of those cars that a different colour body part due to some accident and a quick repair.

I didnt see a sync cable... how are you supposed to move all your crap from your premium 20gb hdd over to the new elite 120gb hdd??

I don't see any TRANSFER CABLE, is there one? Is that extra? How am I getting my game saves over to the new box?
HDMI cable included - nice touch. Shame about the lack of a transfer cable. Did they include any info on how to request one?

What I've heard is that if you call up Microsoft, they'll send an elite owner a transfer cable. It would be nice to get some validation on that though.
Even if you copy your data over, you'll still have the "new Xbox" issue, where your XBLA games won't play if you're not connected to live though. Microsoft said they were working on a solution in an Elite interview done before the release, but sadly, it doesn't sound like they've announced what they're going to do.
So if this has the 65nm chip it should consume less power. Someone wanna hook it up to a watt meter?
It has already been hooked up to a Watt meter... It's not a 65nm chip. The Elite actually draws around the same power as the Premium. Hell, Microsoft already confirmed that the new chips wouldn't be in them off the bat, I doubt you will know when it happens till someone opens it up and sees one. Microsoft doesn't want you to think that power consumption / heat is an issue.

Does the Elite have the updated DVD-drive (the quiet one)?
My current 360 sounds like an Airbus, I would upgrade to the Elite for the quiet drive and to extend the warranty 2 years (my Premium has died 2-times in the last year, you'll be stupid not to have the warranty extended).
So after i go buy this, i am going to have to wait a week or 3 for a cable to transfer over all my stuff.... You think they would have set this up better.. MAybe just gave us the cable in the first place, was stoked before about the elite, now, not so much.

All I want to know is whether this thing upconverts DVDs to 1080i/1080p. If it does, I can justify the cost by selling my upconverting DVD player. I really want full 1080p, but $200+ to tradein my 360 premium and buy this seems steep.

What are you talking about the white looks nice? The dull white color of the current 360 looks like the exterior of a early 90s computer. Even though the Wii is also ugly, their "white" is what the MS should have aimed for. =/
I think Microsoft has really missed a trick with the 360 elite. They could've waited a few months and put the 65nm chips in it, put a quieter DVD drive in it and made an internal power supply for it. Then i would've brought one despite already owning an orginal 360.
I love my elite, got it last thrusday! lol
