Nokia N75 finally launches on AT&T -- sort of
Hard to believe the day's finally come, but that thing you're looking at is actually Nokia's long, long, freaking long-delayed N75 3G Symbian smartphone. Here. As in, here in America, on AT&T. You don't really need us to tell you what it is (ok, well, if you do: it's got a 2 megapixel camera, PlaysForSure support, Bluetooth, and plenty of media and messaging apps), but you'll be stoked to learn the media-centric flip will run you just $200 (with rebate and 2-year). Grats, AT&T, we were starting to think you didn't have it in you to launch a friggin 3G Symbian phone.

Update: After a few all-too-brief hours of possible availability, AT&T has yanked the N75 from many zip codes -- though it seems some lucky folks are still able to order. Your mileage, of course, may vary.

You can get it for 150 from Cingular do order it over the net order it over the phone the'll give it to you for 199 then print out the 50$ rebate from the online site seriously I did this twice with RAZRs once for me and once for my ex Cingular never even asked a question

Why are they still branding everything as Cingular!?
I hate having a brand-new Treo 680 with a Cingular logo, but AT&T for the alpha/provider tag on the top of the screen.
Make up your damn minds.

Are they going with the AT&T brand or Cingular? I still see those Cingular "Dropped Call" commercials all the time. Seems, to me at least, that Cingular has the stronger brand for mobile telephones.

And I just got my N95 in the mail last week. Wow, American cell companies suck -_-

Looks quite nice - Nokia will finally start selling in US with these new models?

Great. Cingular goes and gets a N series phone without wi-fi.

They are going with AT&T.. it will just take some time to make the transition. Cingular was a very strong brand.

Oh, what happened? Nokia finally woke up and smelled the iPhone coffie? Yea thought so! Now stop trying to by pass the carrier subsidy and holding back the good stuff for your "so call Nokia stores". Us Yanks aint paying full price for your stuff!! Now bring the other nSeries to at&t and t-Mobile or find yourself in 3 place come 08!!
PS "we want to sell the good stuff at our own nStores" SHUT UP WITH THAT ALREADY! We (Yanks) dont mind the 2 year contract if it gets us the bloody phone BELOW COST!!
Matt @ Apr 27th 2007 9:44AM
And to imagine that my brother in law just picked up two piece of crap RAZRs from them since his contract was up. I'm so ashamed of the "less fortunate technologically challenged" part of my family.

The US is the only country that does the carrier subs. Other country's all sell their phones unlocked so you pay full price and then choose your carrier. Since the US is the only country that does that, Cell phone companies have to price there phone low enough to get into the free/$99/$199 categories otherwise the carrier is loosing money. Besides for every 1 phone seen at the store there are 3-5 that are not accepted and thus only available on the interet or overseas as unlocked.

Damn, you can get this for $49.99 on Amazon.com

Um... no. All of Europe, Canada, Korea, Japan and Australia (at the very least) contradict your statement.
www.carphonewarehouse.co.uk - have a look how many phones are priced "From Free"
Same for all the carriers over here (eg www.three.co.uk)

Does anyone know if it has HSDPA or is it just plain 3G/UMTS?
James Sullivan @ May 4th 2007 11:54AM
I just ordered one, we'll see how it is when it arrives I guess.

Does the N75 sync with OS X 10.4.9?
